Mentoring

Mentoring the 100 Way® is a holistic mentoring program that seeks to equip youth with the tools they need to succeed in all aspects of life. The program was developed by the 100 Black Men of America, Inc., a nonprofit organization committed to improving the lives of African American youth. By providing mentorship, education, economic development, and health and wellness support, Mentoring the 100 Way® aims to empower youth to become productive and contributing members of society.

The mentoring component of the program is a critical part of Mentoring the 100 Way®. The program matches youth with adult mentors who serve as positive role models and provide guidance and support. Mentors are carefully selected based on their ability to embody the values of honesty, integrity, respect, responsibility, and accountability. By establishing positive relationships with mentors, youth gain access to a wealth of knowledge and support that can help them navigate the challenges of life.

In addition to mentoring, the program emphasizes the importance of education. Mentoring the 100 Way® encourages academic achievement and career development by providing resources and support to help youth succeed in school and beyond. By promoting lifelong learning, the program helps youth develop the skills they need to succeed in a rapidly changing world.

The economic development component of Mentoring the 100 Way® is designed to help youth become financially literate and develop entrepreneurial skills. The program recognizes that financial stability is critical to long-term success and works to equip youth with the tools they need to manage their finances and build wealth. By providing resources and support for entrepreneurship, the program also helps youth create opportunities for themselves and their communities.

Finally, the health and wellness component of Mentoring the 100 Way® recognizes the importance of physical and mental well-being. The program promotes healthy lifestyles and provides resources and support for youth to develop and maintain good health. By addressing the physical and emotional needs of youth, Mentoring the 100 Way® helps ensure that they are equipped to face the challenges of life with strength and resilience.
